Martyrs
They are two medical brothers, of Arab origin, who practiced their profession gratuitously, and cared for the health of souls no less than for bodies, in which, due to their extraordinary sanctity, they performed portentous cures. Refusing to worship idols, they were atrociously tormented, and finally slaughtered in the year 285. Their names are read in the first list of the Canon. In his honor, many hospitals respectfully invoke these two Christian brothers.
