She was born of noble parents, in Florence; At the age of sixteen, she took the veil in the Matelatas, a sort of Third Order of the Servites. Whe she was about to die, and not being able to receive Communion, she begged that the sacred Host be placed on her chest; which penetrated her body, leaving the image of Christ imprinted on her chest.
