Martyrs.

They were martyred in Milan in Nero’s time.

Saint Ambrose discovered the bodies of these two martyrs and sent the relics to the Basilica of the Apostles.

Saint Paulinus of Nola speaks praises of Saint Nazario in his Poem entitled xxvii (P.L., LXI, 658).

The feast of the two martyrs is joint with that of Saint Victor the Innocent and Saint Innocent I, on July 28.

V: Saints Nazarius and Celsus.
A: Pray for us.
