Apostle

Famous is the stubbornness of Thomas, when his brothers in the faith announced that they had seen the risen Jesus. He demanded to believe she shoved his fingers into the nail holes, and his hand into the wound in her side. Jesus benignly agreed to the demand of the unbeliever, who repaired his pertinacity with that sublime confession:

“My Lord, and my God!”

St. Thomas the Apostle
