Virgin and Martyr
From a noble Roman family, she consecrated her virginity to God. Forced to marry Valerian, a young pagan, she persuaded him to respect her and become a Christian. After this, she catechized and converted Tiburcio, Valeriano’s brother, and both brothers suffered martyrdom for Christ. Soon after, Cecilia received three blows to the neck; She survived three days, and then, reclining on her side, she fell asleep sweetly on the Lord.
