At a very young age, he founded the Order of Regular Clerics of Saint Paul, called Barnabas, because they were in charge of an old church of Saint Barnabas in Milan.
It is an institute of apostolic life, whose model is Apostle of the People. He also founded a congregation of angelic virgins. He died at the age of thirty-six in 1539.
