Martyrs
Mario and Martha, noble spouses of Persia, with their two sons, Audifaz and Abaco, went to Rome during Claudius’s empire to venerate the tombs of the martyrs. There they helped the imprisoned Christians with their alms, and they buried the martyrs; for these works of faith and charity they were martyred.
Martha, more fervent, encouraged her husband and her children in their torments; all four were beheaded.
