Confessor
Born near Carcassonne, he had Spain as his second homeland. Together with Saint Raimund of Penyafort, and supported by the great Jaime I the Conqueror, he founded in Barcelona the glorious Order of Our Lady of Mercy, Redemption of Captives, which bears the royal arms of Aragon as a shield. He died on Christmas night.
