Bishop and Martyr
Polish, Bishop of Krakow, rebuked King Boleslaus for his libidinous life. That Irritated the king, and he murdered the saint by his own hand, while the Saint celebrated the divine Sacrifice of the altar, on May 8, 1079. Later, the king recognized his crime and did penance.
