Widow
With her fervent prayer and heroic patience, she overcame the obstinacy of the pagan husband, and brought him to the catechumenate. Twice she was the mother of Saint Augustine, because she gave birth to him, and because with her tears she begot him for holiness, she died in Ostia, in the year 387. She is an advocate for Christian mothers.
